The books I (hopefully) want to read in 2021

2020 has been a pretty difficult year for everyone, that's for sure.

One thing that has gotten me through the year is reading, so here are a few books that I am hoping to read in 2021!

1) 21 Lessons for the 21st Century by Yuval Noah Harari.

There are honestly a few things that everyone can learn from past historic periods. This book discusses lessons like: Civilization, Nationalism, Religion, Immigration, Terrorism, War, etc.

I truly love how the possibility of discovering and learning new things is endless, (especially when it comes to me being such a book worm).

2) Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind.

This book discusses the history of evolution (and obviously the history of Humankind). I am super into history and I love reading about history as well. I've also been hearing incredible things about this book, and I am super excited to it!

3) DARE TO FLY: SIMPLE LEVELS IN NEVER GIVING UP By: Martha McSally.

4) Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking By: Susan Cain.

This book honestly seems incredibly interesting. I'm neither 100% an introvert or an extrovert, but after meeting certain people I may need a few days to take a break and be in my own bubble to rejuvenate for a few days. I am also always up to learn new things, and I am excited to read what this book possibly has in store!

5) American Royals By: Katharine McGee

This book basically asks a big question: What would it be like if the United States was still a monarchy? The author also basically described it as a basic mix between Gossip Girl and The Crown. It seems really cool, and I am looking forward to having this book because it may be a break for me and something fresh to read since I do tend to read a lot of nonfiction.

6) Megyn Kelly: SETTLE FOR MORE.

7) The Ambassadors: America's Diplomat's on the Front Lines By: Paul Richter.

This book is basically about the experiences of many incredible and courageous diplomats/ambassadors and their experiences of basically working in the Middle East. (This book is important to me because in the future, I am hoping to maybe possibly work in Foreign Policy maybe).

8) 12 Rules For Life By: Jordan B. Peterson

9) Again, But Better By: Christine Riccio

We basically follow the Main Character named Shane, who has been doing college all wrong. Although she has been getting pretty stellar grades, she also feels like she isn't happy... She picked a major to please her parents, and she has also never been in any romantic relationship... So she decides to Study Abroad in London for a start over. What will happen? (Well, that's what I'm about to find out since I'm reading it).

10) BECOMING By: Michelle Obama

Not trying to shade anyone, but (honestly) if we don't learn or read from our opposition, then how are we going to move forward as a country?

Those are all of the books that I'm hoping to read for the New Year!

See all of you soon!
